February 22nd, 2019
The third edition of the Burton Mountain Mash completed successfully. The event, organized by the brand founded in 1977 by Jake Burton Carpenter in Vermont, took place on the ski slopes of Madonna di Campiglio, on which it was possible to breathe a unique atmosphere and spirit of aggregation, among experts, athletes, neophytes, and fans.
The event took place on different levels, the first was the Slopestyle competition, which lasted 3 days and which was attended by 24 national and international snowboarders. Emil Zulian of the Burton Europe team got the better of them, while in the women category the winner was Giorgia Locatin. The second main event took place on Saturday 16th, with the Banked Slalom competition, with 120 participants between the ages of 6 and 55. Also, in this case, the Burton team brought home the gold medal in the women category, with Marilù Poluzzi.
To follow the event for nss was Domenico Formichetti, who have worn the new Burton suit, and test the boards of the 2020 collection.
One of the most interesting and engaging initiatives of Burton Mountain Mash was the Girl Camp. A real snow lesson for women only, which was symbolically attended by the Co-Ceo and Co-Owner of the American brand: Donna Carpenter. A unique way to talk about the role of women within the company and the importance of gender equality.
