October 7th, 2014
Tv series addicted of the world, listen this: Twin Peaks, one of the top cult series of all time, is coming back with a new limited series in Showtime from its original creators, David Lynch and Mark Frost - ça va sans dire. The nine-episode series will see its premiere in 2016, to mark the 25th anniversary of when the series finished its run in ABC.
...Now we must flashback to remember what happened and to better understand what will happen: the show's title came from the small and fictional city of Twin Peaks, in which it was set. The apparent serenity of the place is broke up by the discovery of the murdered body of Laura Palmer, the daughter of the lawyer Leland and homecoming queen. From this pilot episode, we follow the investigation headed by FBI Special Agent Dale Cooper, which will lead to disturbing discovery about the city and its inhabitants.
The new Twin Peaks will be set in the present day, more than two decades after the events in the first two seasons. But don't worry: it will continue the story of the original series, in which Lynch and Frost will provide us long-awaited answers.
