UNO unveils its 50th anniversary special edition

Among the many activities that we thought relegated to the carefree summer days spent on the beach, from crosswords to board games, many of them proved to be salvation against boredom in this special year spent at home. No less are the cards of UNO, the very popular game by Mattel that has kept company to entire generations and is now preparing to celebrate its 50th birthday. 

It will be a year full of special initiatives and projects to celebrate this important anniversary. The most awaited release, however, is undoubtedly that of the Premium Card Set, an unreleased and collector's edition of the card set in shades of black that includes an exclusive commemorative gold coin. Unlike the classic card set, this coin will play a role in the game. The edition also includes "wild" golden cards designed specifically to celebrate the anniversary. 

UNO will also release the Iconic Series, an edition that takes players back to the 1970s: the release includes five different sets of cards, each representing a different decade in Mattel's gaming history. Yet to be unveiled is UNO Remix, a set of cards that allows players to customize them according to their taste. Also this year, UNO will also bring back the 1980 edition of the game, UNO Attack, with a new card device that promises a more aggressive game.
