The rise of Jay-Z and his Roc Nation continues, which after putting their eyes on European football has entered into an agreement with Long Island University in Brooklyn to create the Roc Nation School of Music, Sports & Entertainment.
The school will offer degree courses in music technology, sports management, entrepreneurship and production. Enrollments for the next academic year will open in the autumn, 25% of new students will receive the Roc Nation Hope Scholarship and will be chosen from among a group of candidates deserving of the scholarship. During their school experience, pupils will obviously have the opportunity to take courses and meetings with guest stars, among which we imagine Jay-Z himself. In addition, during the summer, there will be camps for high school students and lessons for students between 10 and 18 years old with a focus on music and sports management.
“We look forward to joining with Roc Nation to offer an unprecedented educational resource that opens up the entertainment and sports world to a new and eager generation” said Long Island University Head Kimberly Cline.
