The name of the concept is "Wing" and may become available by the end of the year

According to ETNews, LG could launch a smartphone with a very special shape in the second quarter of 2020. As more and more manufacturers are focusing on folding models, it seems that the Korean company is working on a product codenamed Wing, a device consisting of two panels that slide on top of each other until they form a T once fully opened.
The secondary display is hidden under the main display and becomes visible only when it is rotated sideways. Probably, the basic idea of the new project is to provide the user with a much larger workspace and the ability to perform several operations at the same time, as already happens for some high-end laptops. In addition to the orientable screen, it is said that LG's next device will work with a Snapdragon 7-series processor, support 5G and will be equipped with cameras with 64 Megapixel lens. The online images reminded many of the VX9400 mobile phone that appeared in the 2008 film Iron Man.
Although the LG Wing's images refer to a model still in the concept stage, the design of the new smartphone would not be without precedent for LG, a brand that has already experimented with innovative design solutions in the past, such as the LG Vx9900 and LG GT360 or even its collaboration with Prada that produced several models including one of the first touchscreen phones , the LG PRADA KE850, in 2007, winner of the Red Dot Design Award.
The Korean Herald reports that LG Wing could cost 1 million won (about 753 euros) and could come out in the second half of the year, but for more accurate data we will have to wait for the official confirmation of the brand.
