When you were a child, who has dreamed to sleep under a starry sky, sharing the beauty of the savage nature only with animals in their natural habitat? In Chiang Rai, in northern Thailand, a city nestled between Laos and Myanmar Nel, there is a place where all this is possible: the Anantara Golden Triangle Elephant Camp & Resort. For several years, the resort protects elephants, offering shelter to animals rescued from various forms of abuse in the protected oasis that surrounds the resort, a hill overlooking the Mekong and Ruak rivers. Its guests can stay in special Jungle Bubbles, bubble-shaped suites with transparent walls and ceiling, custom-designed by Eye In The Sky and built with high-tech polyester fabric, using the exclusive Precontraint Serge Ferrari technology. Despite only 22 square meters of covered area, they are equipped with all comforts: air conditioning system, a bedroom, a living area and a bathroom with shower. True luxury, guaranteed by their design and their position perched on a wooden bridge above the forest, is an outstanding view over the beautiful pachyderms. After spending the night, from dusk to dawn, in the wild jungle, you can return to the hotel's main building where you can find other more traditional rooms.
The price starts from 17,700 Thai baht (about 530 euros) per night for two people and includes a dinner basket, a well-stocked mini bar, 24-hour room service, tea and coffee making facilities.
