The Best 2019 ads
Selected during the last edition of the Cannes Lions
June 25th, 2019
The 2019 edition of the Cannes Lions, the International Festival of Creativity, has just ended proclaiming the most beautiful advertisements of this year. The awards went to projects that have succeeded in combining marketing and social aspects, involving the public with a communication animated by ethics supported by each brand. The perfect example of this new trend that highlights commercials "with a purpose" are Ikea's projects that show how its products would be more suitable for disabled people with small modifications or Johnson & Johnson's that tells the story of a group of nurses and their relationship with AIDS patients at the beginning of the outbreak of the epidemic. Among the winners, there are two of the coolest and most popular concepts of 2019, the video This is America by Childish Gambino and the controversial Nike campaign with Colin Kaepernick. The most ironic advertisement? That of Burger King who gave a Whopper to anyone who could prove that he asked for their hamburger at McDonald's.
