Moleskine: "The Lord of the Rings" collection
The brand launches 4 notebooks inspired by the fantasy saga by J.R.R. Tolkien
May 8th, 2019
Moleskine was founded in 1997 by reproducing the characteristic notebook used by writers and artists such as Vincent van Gogh, Pablo Picasso, Ernest Hemingway and Bruce Chatwin. Today, more than thirty years later, its DNA is still deeply rooted in the love for art and literature. Also for this reason, the brand has chosen to pay homage with a limited edition collection to another great creative thinker: J.R.R. Tolkien, the author of The Lord of the Rings. The result is 4 notebooks that evoke the world of the middle-earth with its monstrous creatures, magic and the never-ending battle between good and evil.
Each notebook has different covers, all inspired by the story and drawings from the books: Frodo who leaves home in the County, the Ent marching towards Isengard, the Western Gates of Moria at nightfall and Frodo&Sam on their last journey to Mount Doom.
In the last pages there's a surprise: detailed maps and sketches, a reproduction of the handmade drawings made by Tolkien himself. The collection also includes a black and gold numbered notebook with the 20 Rings of Power on the cover, surrounded by the memorable epigraph of the novel.
This special object is kept in a red box with the image of the One Ring.
