Street Food: the new Netflix docu-series

From April 26 Netflix will take us to the discover the world of street food thank to a new docu-series by the same creators of Chef's Table, a show that in six seasons has told the life of the most important chefs and their dishes. No more haute cuisine, now the protagonists will be the culture of street food and "stories of perseverance that bring each country’s cuisine and culture to life". Stories of hard work, but also incredible successes such as that of Jay Fai, Bangkok's street chef, who received a Michelin star for her famous crab omelets and her innovative take on Thai food. In addition to her, we will meet 100-year-old Mbah Lindu, who has been serving jackfruit stew in a market in Yogyakarta, Indonesia, for over 86 years, and Wanton noodle legend Master Tang. The first season of the series consists of 9 episodes, each shot in a different Asian country (Thailand, India, Taiwan, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Indonesia, Philippines and Vietnam), including street vendors, food trucks and open-air markets.
