Discovering the streetstyle at Future Vintage Festival
From the subcultures of the past to the trends of tomorrow
September 6th, 2018
As we've reported a few days ago, this weekend - from September 7 to 9 - you can't miss out the most famous festival of Padova, Future Vintage Festival. Special guests, panels, talks, events, all involving the streetstyle, a constantly growing phenomenon, which keeps taking inspiration from the fashion and the trends of the past.
Saturday 8th, at 16, nss magazine co-founder and CEO Walter D'Aprile will be the guest of the talk entitled Streetstyle: today more than ever the streets are the new catwalks. Creatives and designers have always taken inspiration from the fashion of the street, reworking and bringing on the runway the hottest trends. Subcultures have always been the movements to look out for to understand the current (and future) hips.
We keep looking at the past to discover the fashion of tomorrow. In a now incredibly fast fashion system, the items seen on the catwalk are immediately photographed, once again, on the street, worn by influencers. Social media revolutionised fashion, not only communication-wise, but also when it comes to marketing: a picture posted by a user with a big following can concretely affect the sales of a product.
A glance at the past, with the mind oriented to the future: this is the challenge the fashion system has to face now.
