There are two news regarding the family of "Game of Thrones" these days.
The first is the upcoming wedding, June 23, between Kit Harington and Rose Leslie, the actors who in the HBO series play Jon Snow and Ygritte.
The second concerns George R. R. Martin, the author of "A Song of Ice and Fire", the saga from which GoT is drawn.
After the great success on TV, the writer is ready to conquer the big screen too, transforming his 1979 work, "The Ice Dragon", in an animated movie produced by Warner Bros.
He made the announcement directly on his Facebook page.
The plot of this new project? A young girl, named Adara, becomes secretly friends with a rare and unique ice dragon. When the army of spitfire dragons invades the city, only her new ally can save the world from total destruction.
Martin will co-produce the film, which has currently no release date, along with his manager Vince Gerardis.
At the same time, the writer is also working on the novel "The Winds of Winter" (which will be published next year) and is supervising the screenplay for the potential "television" spin-offs of "Game of Thrones", which is about to end with the eighth season in 2019 on HBO.
