It's the end of an era.
Interview, the monthly magazine founded in 1969 by Andy Warhol, John Wilcok, and Gerard Malanga, famous for the iconic interviews with movie stars, fashion, and music, closes.
In its heyday the magazine was nicknamed The Crystal Ball of Pop for its ability to foretell the pop explosion of NY, from the decay of disco and Studio 54 to the punk of CBGB, has in recent years lost much of its visibility.
Owned since 1989 by the art collector Peter Brant, Interview for some time now has been in a very bad financial situation, crushed between lawsuits, evictions, and accusations of harassment of its creative director.
Among the requests for financial compensation sees also that of the former director Fabien Baron who would advance over 600 thousand dollars and one, dating back to 2016, from Deborah Blasucci who complains about having been unjustly dismissed after more than 30 years spent in dependencies of the monthly magazine.
For those who want to explore the world of Interview we point you towards the book The Philosophy of Andy Warhol: From A to B and Back Again, given to the prints by Warhol himself in 1975.
