Hackers delete "Despacito" from YouTube
Who's the first victim? Luis Fonsi and his music video 'Despacito'
April 10th, 2018
An alarm has just been launched directly from YouTube.
Some hackers in fact managed to sneak into the well-known channel, ready to compromise some of the most famous and viewed videos of all time. The first victim? Despacito, the well-known musical piece of the Puerto Rican singer Luis Fonsi was indeed initially removed but, at the same time, its cover presented an image with some characters with masks and guns that fixed the lens. A little La Casa de Papel style.
No No Hey @LuisFonsi @daddy_yankee, a hacker just deleted your Despacito song from YouTube. pic.twitter.com/0YPzizRGVc NEW: Vevo's @YouTube account hacked; attacker just changed the title and thumbnail of #Despacito Song, the most-viewed YouTube video with over 5 billion views.

Mr Fonsi does not seem to be the only one to have suffered this violation from the moment in which, searching on the YouTube site, it was possible to observe how even Shakira, Taylor Swift, or Drake were victims of this hacking. But what generated more confusion was the phrase that Prosox and Kuroi'sh (responsible for the act), wrote under the videos in question: "Free Palestine".
Drake's God's plan has also been hacked. Look at the description. The hackers name is mentioned. pic.twitter.com/YUNHweEhjm
Many titles have been modified to include the names of those responsible, but only some have the replaced cover image. Both YouTube and Vevo were immediately informed of this and so they acted accordingly.
"It's just for fun, I just use [the] script 'youtube-change-title-video' and I write 'hacked'."
One of the hackers commented on Twitter. Is it truth or fiction?
