M3 House: the fully glazed walls house that seem to "grow from within the garden"

Pitsou Kedem Architects is known for the massive use of floor-to-ceiling glazing in their projects, a solution allowing their clients to make the most of the abundant sunlight afforded by the location of the Israeli state on the Mediterranean.

A perfect example of this aesthetic philosophy is the "M3", the one-storey house in the district of Savyon.

It is a construction made with fully glazed walls and a flat pergola-style roof, surrounded by old trees, grassy lawns and a green agate pool.

Together these architectural elements create the impression that the house "grows from within the garden".

"The continuing pergola and long, horizontal lines cause the structure to be successfully absorbed and integrated throughout the large plot so that the outside areas and the inside areas look as if they have become intertwined» - explain the architects and continue - «The building's spaces are open to the outside and one to the other. They successfully create the feeling of an interconnected group of intimate, warm and family spaces whist, at the same time, creating an effect of continuity and space".

Inside M3 House houses a very large open space areas with kitchen area, dining table, bar and spots to relax, all "meeting spaces" for the family that overlook the main courtyard; while other private areas of the house, such as some bedrooms and bathrooms overlook the pool or look towards the back yard.
