The entire industry mourns the demise of one of its brighter and eclectic minds
September 28th, 2017
Gary Warnett: writer, collector, historian, enthusiast sneaker.
For more than 20 years Gary Warnett has been one of the prominent names of the industry both for his ability to recount and analyze the latest novelties and classics of the sneakerwear world and for his encyclopaedic knowledge of the subject - genuinely sharing with the general public first through the Crooked Tongues magazine and later with its blog GWARIZM. His signature, featured on various articles and editorials curated for magazines all over the world, was a certainty of a unique journey into his world made of connection between culture, sneaker and actuality - despite wheter the topic was.
The news of his death, came tonight, has shaken the entire industry that has lost one of its brightest and eclectic minds, whose unmanageable wisdom and unparalleled competence will surely be remembered.
His legacy will continue to mark future generations.
Rest in peace, Gary.
