The Matrix may soon return to the theaters with a remake

After the recent remake of Trainspotting, now it is the turn of the cult film cyberpunk The Matrix back on the big silvers screens. After eighteen years after its release, the trilogy of the brothers - now sisters - Wachowski was fished out by Warner Bros for a possible remake or reboot. The project still is not clear, as stated by The Hollywood Report, adding that the Wachowski sisters were not even involved yet in the remake.

As for the protagonist of the trilogy, Keanu Reeves has expressed his interest in the brush up the Neo character clothes in a possible remake of the film, but only if it was written and directed by the Wachowski sisters.
