The Wilde members club will open in Milan

A villa that once belonged to Santo Domenico Versace and his family, located on a quiet street in the center of Milan, Via dei Giardini: this is where the first and only Italian branch of the famous English private club, The Wilde, will rise. Gary Landesberg, founder and president of the club, explained how Milan still lacks an exclusive reality like The Wilde. «Milan is an international city with a great culture. It also boasts a strong relevance in the fashion sector, it is unthinkable not to have such a location». He also added that, in his plans, The Wilde should have arrived in Italy much earlier, but it was very difficult to find the building that best reflected the idea of the club, and above all, had a large garden, which Landesberg considered a fundamental space. «Finding the right place is perhaps the most difficult thing. The club's headquarters need a reserved and unique entrance: you cannot be a member of a club and pass through an office reception. But above all, we needed an outdoor space. After COVID-19, people want to be outdoors».

It is no coincidence that The Wilde, ready to open in October 2024, will be located just a few steps from the hub of Milanese shopping and splendor, Via Montenapoleone, just a few steps from the headquarters of Giorgio Armani. The Art Deco building that once belonged to Gianni Versace's brother is known as Villa Del Platano. Landesberg, who selected architect Fabrizio Casiraghi to perfect the location, has requested to be very respectful towards what is considered to be a gem of Italian and world architecture. The Wilde members will have access to artistic and cultural experiences and programs, but The Wilde's programming will be very broad and, in all likelihood, will also include weekly DJ sets, live music, theatrical performances, cabaret, and more; it will be possible to have brunch and aperitifs in the The Garden area and even try a wide range of cigars. It will be possible to go to the The Library area for breakfast in a special workplace dedicated to reading, while the extensive catering offer will include Nina, a Latin American restaurant and cocktail bar with Japanese influences. Ava and Ava Rooftop, respectively on the third and fourth floors, will offer seasonal Mediterranean cuisine. 2024 is shaping up to be the year of Members Clubs for Milan: in the first week of June 2024, the official announcement of the opening of Soho House arrived, but with the arrival of The Wilde, it can be said for certain that the city is finally ready to welcome and develop new super exclusive communities.
