Fashion, music, and sports according to adidas and C2C
To celebrate the "1000 Back" campaign
March 17th, 2024
After months of exclusively talking about Milan Fashion Week, Italy's most frenetic city is gearing up for the dynamism of Design Week, one of the most anticipated events of the year, both nationally and internationally. Just in conjunction with DFW, adidas Originals launches the "1000 Back" campaign, with the aim of paying homage to the three silhouettes that enrich adidas' heritage - Gazelle, Samba, and SPEZIAL. The German brand partners with the renowned C2C Music Festival in an exclusive event taking place in Milan on April 11, 2024, at District 272, Via Padova 272. Fashion, music, and sports will blend to create C2CMLN X ADIDAS ORIGINALS, a format curated for the brand by C2C, featuring performances by some of the most important international artists in the avant-pop music scene. The brand with the Three Stripes thus strengthens an important connection that unites three areas as different as they are related. And to do so, it could only count on C2C Festival, born in the early 2000s as Club To Club. Over the years, it has built its reputation thanks to its longevity and excellence, evolving from one of Europe's most representative dance festivals into an internationally renowned platform for increasingly avant-garde contemporary music realities.
The Milanese spring couldn't warm up any better: the evening's lineup will feature performances by Sega Bodega, DJ Python, Sister Effect, and SPLENDORE. Sega Bodega, the alias of Salvador Navarrete, is a music producer distinguished by the fluidity with which he crosses musical genres, allowing him to collaborate with artists such as Björk, Rosalia, Caroline Polachek, and Arca. Following the success of Romeo, the artist is recognized as one of the most creative and innovative minds in the United Kingdom, and his debut in Milan is eagerly awaited. Also, DJ Python, a native New Yorker of Argentine-Ecuadorian origin, stands out for his great versatility. Drawing inspiration from the endless possibilities offered by the dembow rhythm, at the base of reggaeton, he has created a unique formula in which different references - from techno to house, from IDM to ambient - coexist harmoniously. This peculiar convergence of styles and times is reflected in his DJ sets, which have made him a cult phenomenon in the New York and international scenes. Closing this rich program will be Sister Effect and SPLENDORE: Stefania Kalogeropoulos, who has been behind the decks in underground circuits for 15 years, experiments through the Sister Effect project with different genres, dedicating herself to a multifaceted musical research focused on psychedelic sound. On the other hand, SPLENDORE, one of the main ambassadors of hyperpop in Italy, brings a kaleidoscope of cutting-edge sounds.
