The images of Givenchy SS16 campaign

Givenchy unveiled the images of its SS16 campaign designed by Riccardo Tisci. The shots – realized by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott – portray the garments brought on the runway on September 11, 2015 at the Pier 26 in Manhattan, during the show-event orchestrated by Marina Abramovic under the sign of love.

The campaign is choral and stars 27 models among whom some of Riccardo’s muses: Mariacarla Boscono, Lara Stone and Joan Smalls. The pictures are matched with a brief poem hand-written by British singer songwriter Antony Hegarty (frontman of Antony and the Johnsons).

“I am a child on the river, and love waits downstream. A waterfall to steal my breath, and change my mind” it says.

An hymn to love, that Riccardo dedicates to the world, not only to the fashion world.
