Y/Project honors us with one last project before closing down

To take its final bow, the brand joins forces with the one and only Marc Jacobs

Y/Project honors us with one last project before closing down To take its final bow, the brand joins forces with the one and only Marc Jacobs

At the beginning of 2025, Y/Project, a brand founded in 2010 by Glenn Martens, sadly announced the end of its activity after 15 years of career. However, it gives us the honor of one last surprise before closing its doors for good. Indeed, the Belgian brand is collaborating with Heaven by Marc Jacobs, a unisex line created in 2020, in a collection featuring everyday clothes reimagined through unlikely shapes and proportions, staying true to Y/Project’s signature style and its pioneer. Available since March 25, you can find, for example, a hoodie decorated with a Y/Project by Marc Jacobs inscription on the front, a denim jacket with sleeves that go all the way down to the knees, or even a slim jean that also seems to go on for miles. The collection also includes accessories, such as a bag adorned with chains and a new edition of Y/Project's I Love You belt.

Unfortunately, no surprise return is planned, as the announcement specifies, explaining that this project began two years ago, well before Y/Project's future was called into question. While this ending is also a sign of a new beginning and renewal for Glenn Martens, whose debut at Maison Margiela is eagerly awaited, it is clear that it is more pleasant to say goodbye with one last collection that we will particularly savor knowing it will not be renewed.
