The second collaboration between The North Face and Cecilie Bahnsen, presented at Paris Fashion Week for FW25, once again redefines the boundaries between hyper-feminine couture and technical performance. The dialogue between the Danish designer's romantic aesthetic and The North Face's alpine heritage evolves, bringing to the runway a collection that merges functionality and refinement. 3D fabrics, innovative details designed for winter, and a more advanced layering system enhance the union between form and function, with an aesthetic that transforms technical clothing into a sophisticated experience. The focus is on modularity, with garments that layer and adapt to the body to create fluid silhouettes. The North Face's DNA remains clearly visible in the references to extreme outdoor environments, while Bahnsen's touch softens it with unexpected volumes and delicate finishes, proving that functionality does not have to sacrifice elegance.
Among the most iconic pieces of the capsule collection, the Himalayan Parka stands out as the first padded garment of the collaboration, adjustable at the waist and inspired by the brand's mountaineering heritage. Alongside it, the quilted down skirt reinterprets one of Cecilie Bahnsen's signature designs, while the oversized down jacket emphasizes warmth and versatility with tonal details and signature finishes. The Denali Fleece Jacket is reimagined with softer, more feminine lines, while the Wool DOTKNIT Baselayer introduces a new standard of technical comfort. The collection is completed with essential accessories, such as a crossbody bag inspired by climbing rope bags and a new version of the Verto Boots and Traction Mules, the perfect mix of urban spirit and outdoor functionality. «With this second collaboration, we are expanding the foundation we built with The North Face, continuing to evolve rather than starting over from scratch,» comments designer Cecilie Bahnsen. «The pieces are designed to be complementary not only to each other but also to the way I and many women naturally wear my collections. A delicate dress layered over a technical coat, soft silhouettes paired with structured outerwear—it’s about contrast, adaptability, and creating a wardrobe that moves effortlessly between different worlds.»
