Communities at Work is a project by Afro Fashion that was born from the collaboration with Vogue Italia, the support of Camera Moda and Camera Moda Fashion Trust, and aims to create a space for dialogue, connection, and opportunities for emerging talents. The initiative, which took place yesterday morning in Milan, sparked a conversation with insiders and emerging talents about the challenges and opportunities of BIPOC representation in the Italian creative industry. Ten extraordinary professionals who are making a difference in the fashion, communication, and photography sectors were the protagonists of the new edition: Shivin Singh, founder and creative director of Absent Findings, Eileen Akbaraly of Made for a Woman, Christel Abboud of Astarté, and designers Steve French Oduro, Claudia Gisele Ntsama, and Victor Hart. Alongside them, photographer Isabella Sozinho, stylist and creative director Sorelle Toledo, Byron Rosero, creative director of State Vision, and Susanna Owusu Twumwah, consultant and communication manager with experience in AMREF Health Africa.
