Loro Piana's FW25-26 collection is a journey through landscapes, tradition and innovation

The Fall/Winter 2025-2026 Collection by Loro Piana is an invitation to rediscover "The Way We Were": not merely a call to the past, but a reaffirmation of the values that have always distinguished the Maison. This season, the connection between clothing and life unfolds through vast and wild landscapes, which serve as both the core inspiration for the collection and the backdrop for its presentation at Loro Piana’s Milan headquarters, within the evocative Cortile della Seta. During Milan Fashion Week, as is now tradition, the Maison has chosen to engage directly with the public through a new activation at the newsstand on Via dei Giardini, running from February 28 to March 1. The kiosk, transformed into a vintage-style post office, is decorated with black-and-white images from historical advertising campaigns from 1992 and 2000. Visitors receive postcards featuring these same vintage images along with a small ivory-colored cashmere bag. With a poetic touch, the newsstand allows guests to send the postcards with a Loro Piana stamp, while distributing the newspaper "Loro Piana Chronicles," which narrates the Maison’s hundred-year history and heritage.

For the presentation at Cortile della Seta, there are two main areas: a central space dedicated to the FW25-26 collection and a room celebrating the new Royal Lightness excellence. The setup, crafted with natural materials such as walnut wood, sisal carpeting, brass, travertine, and smoked glass, creates an organic continuity between the spaces, immersing visitors in a fully sensory experience. The scenography evokes an artist’s studio: wooden easels display watercolors inspired by the landscapes of Argentina, the Scottish Highlands, Australia, and New Zealand—lands from which the Maison sources both raw materials and inspiration. Wooden drawers reveal bags and accessories, while soft blankets, casually draped, enhance the artistic aesthetic of the environment. The second room is dedicated to textile innovation with the introduction of Royal Lightness, an ethereal fiber that blends the finest mulberry silk with Merino wool for yarn, and silk with cashmere for fabric. Working with materials of such delicacy requires unparalleled craftsmanship. The result is garments as light as a feather, structurally intricate yet always delicate. At the center of the room, a machine reveals the enchanting process of fiber blending, offering visitors a glimpse into Loro Piana’s exceptional artisanal expertise and the skill of its craftsmen.

This season’s women’s collection is infused with a cosmopolitan spirit that spans Argentina, the Scottish Highlands, and the vast landscapes of Australia and New Zealand. Each piece tells a story of returning to the roots, with silhouettes that embrace the body’s movement and functional details inspired by equestrian traditions. Skirt-pants pay homage to Argentine heritage, while fabrics—ranging from bouclé to Merino wool, silk, and cashmere—are dyed in natural tones that highlight Loro Piana’s intricate dyeing techniques: dark brandy, vintage brown, creamy vanilla, vicuña, and navy blue. The iconic Spagna jacket is reimagined in a cropped version and as a pencil coat. Layered outfits play with ombré effects, while eveningwear channels the elegance of the opera with satin silk and jacquard in classic black and white. Accessories complete the look with soft bags like the new Extra Bag L23 and the Needle Bag, inspired by knitting needle cases, alongside equestrian boots crafted in collaboration with Le Chameau.

The men’s line follows the same geographical and conceptual journey. The garments, both soft and structured, emphasize practicality without compromising elegance. Relaxed-fit trousers are designed to be tucked into equestrian boots, while the iconic Maremma jacket in cotton-cashmere returns as a standout piece in several looks. Quilted jackets and parkas embrace the collection’s outdoor spirit, while formalwear takes on a softer approach with double-breasted suits and oversized overcoats. Natural tones range from Haze Melange green to Espresso and Fondue Fudge. In the evening, the collection becomes more refined with black Spagna capes and classic tuxedo ensembles. Accessories, from foldable bags to new versions of the Loom Bag in Nubuck Zibeline, highlight the collection’s versatility and craftsmanship with their effortlessly poetic appeal.
