The new collab between Carhartt WIP and INVINCIBLE®
Curated by the Japanese designer Shinsuke Nakada
December 11th, 2024
Carhartt WIP and Taiwanese retailer INVINCIBLE® team up again for the Fall/Winter 2024 season, unveiling a seven-piece capsule collection that reinterprets workwear aesthetics with a contemporary twist. The collection, curated by Japanese designer Shinsuke Nakada, stands out for its innovative approach to deconstruction and its ability to reimagine the iconic pieces of the American brand. Nakada, renowned for his attention to detail and skill in filtering classic Americana style through a modern lens, delved into Carhartt WIP’s archives to create items such as the Chore Coat in heavyweight denim with a convertible hood, the reversible Detroit Jacket, and a long-sleeve work shirt inspired by outdoor wear. Completing the collection are a series of pigment-dyed jerseys with a washed yet vibrant finish, enhanced by Carhartt WIP’s Square Label and INVINCIBLE®’s embroidered tornado logo.
Available from December 7 at INVINCIBLE® stores, online, and in select Carhartt WIP stores, this collection celebrates the fusion of Japanese minimalism and American workwear heritage, offering a style that blends tradition and modernity. The focus on materials and finishes highlights the ability of both brands to engage with the diverse cultures that influence them: from urban subcultures to the world of contemporary art. With this capsule, INVINCIBLE® continues to strengthen its identity as a cultural bridge between Asia and Europe, while Carhartt WIP reaffirms its commitment to reinterpreting workwear for a new generation.
