When the Ritz Paris is no longer just a hotel

Fashion and luxury mix and mingle, far beyond the hotel sector

If the Ritz Paris, the prestigious hotel on Place Vendôme, is primarily known for its luxurious rooms and exemplary service, it offers more than just plush beds and quality room service. Indeed, the institution returns for the fourth time with a brand-new clothing collection, created in collaboration with the California-based brand FRAME. This collaboration, like the three before it, is a natural progression given the shared history that deeply intertwines Ritz Paris with fashion. A true sacred space that hosted Gabrielle Chanel for no less than 34 years, chosen not only for its luxury but also for its proximity to her atelier on Rue Cambon, the hotel today is a symbol of French refinement that hasn’t escaped the attention of fashion enthusiasts.

The collaboration between Ritz Paris and FRAME, whether it’s the latest drop or the first edition, consistently features pieces embodying simplicity, elegance, and timelessness. The fourth edition includes no fewer than 35 limited-edition pieces inspired by high-society codes, blending classic American sportswear with French sophistication in shades of navy, cream, or hunter green. The iconic cap, a hit in previous collections and quickly sold out, makes a comeback, but the standout piece this time is the trench coat lined with a silk scarf and adorned with gold Ritz Paris buttons. The crew-neck sweatshirts return in navy and cream, with a new hunter-green option. A versatile yet classy collection that has generated tremendous demand, motivating its international expansion.

For the fourth time, FRAME X Ritz Paris will also be available at the “World of FRAME and Ritz Paris,” with pop-ups in notable locations like the Mall of the Emirates, Bloomingdale’s Dubai, Galeries Lafayette, Neiman Marcus, Bergdorf Goodman, and Printemps. “It’s fascinating to see how this partnership has evolved over time and become a trend that many others want to follow. This collaboration clearly acknowledges that the Ritz Paris brand, with its distinctive logo and crest, is a symbol of luxury and prestige. The emotional connection between customers and the Ritz Paris aura is undeniable; our clients proudly wear sweaters and caps embroidered with the grand crest and logo of the Ritz. With strong customer success year after year, a FRAME team that consistently brings fresh, trendy ideas while respecting Ritz Paris’ core identity, and collections resulting in high-quality products made from luxury materials, we’re thrilled to continue this collaboration,”, said Robert Swade, Chairman and CEO of the Ritz Group, in a press release.

But the hotel and its collaborations are not limited to fashion: for over a hundred years, the Ritz Paris has collaborated with porcelain manufacturer Haviland, giving rise to a line of tableware with designs inspired by the hotel's timeless class. Some of the porcelain pieces created by César Ritz himself in 1898 are also upcycled, in a collection of jewellery designed from fragments of tableware, all produced in collaboration with La Fabrique Nomade, illustrating the Ritz Paris' commitment to sustainable fashion. In any case, if you don't have any gift ideas to put under the tree on 24 December, a piece from the Ritz Paris x FRAME collection could well suit any member of the family, from the fashionista looking for elegant, timeless pieces to the distant cousin who could do with a little makeover.
