Summer is well underway: if you're reading this, you'll have noticed from your friends' Instagram stories that they're either at the beach or on vacation. The city, in the height of summer, has at least the advantage of not being too crowded, though not desolate either – and all these people are looking for things to do or ways to have fun. So, you should step out tonight and on every subsequent evening. And if you find the courage to go out during the day (wise people will go out in the morning and at sunset, as the full daylight is as hot as a furnace) your days can also be spent without languishing on your couch with the air conditioner on all day.

Here are the five things to do this weekend in Milan.

To Eat – Faak

Chef Viviana Varese, after leaving Eataly Smeraldo, opened Faak in Milan, a place reflecting her rebellious and creative spirit. Located in via Arnaldo da Brescia 5, between the Isola and Monumentale districts, Faak offers a culinary experience from breakfast to dinner, focusing on oven and grill. The menu includes sweet and savory breakfasts, substantial sandwiches, quick lunch dishes, pizzas, grilled meats and fish, accompanied by natural wines and cocktails. The atmosphere is enriched with wall drawings and slogans that highlight the motto "eat and drink" in an informal and enjoyable way.

To Discover – Kaleidoscope @ Museo della Scienza

From November 11 until October 2024, the Museo della Scienza in Milan will host the installation Kaleidoscope by Karina Smigla-Bobinski. The work consists of a large luminous table, with layers of inks in the primary colors red, green, and blue, with which visitors can interact, manipulating it to create new and surprising combinations of colors and shapes, offering an immersive and dynamic visual experience. The installation invites the public to explore the theory and perception of color, better understanding how the human retina reacts to light stimuli and reflecting on the differences between real and virtual.

To Chill – Festa della Luna Piena @ Giardino dei Visionari

This Saturday, from 6:00 PM to 11:30 PM, the Giardino Dei Visionari hosts the "Festa della Luna Piena" in Corsico, at the Parco ex Area Pozzi. This free event celebrates the Full Moon with six hours of live music. Participants can consult the oracle, observe the sky with a telescope, transform with makeup, and get lost in the creations of the market. An opportunity to immerse yourself in the magic of the summer night and live a unique experience of art and nature.

To Club – Memorie Industriali: Burro Studio Radio

The second date of "Memorie Industriali", a series of free summer events at the Parco delle Memorie Industriali in Milan. The second event will see Acidgigi, Mattias Clay, and Andrea Salvaggio from the Burro Studio Radio crew in the console. The evening will offer music, various activities, and street food. Presented by Daab Agency, the series promises a unique experience in the heart of Milan. Burro Studio, co-organizer of the event, is a renowned design studio founded by Giovanni Manzini and Federica Caserio, known for its creative and innovative approach in branding, graphics, and communication.
