Polimoda celebrates creative evolution at Graduation Show 2024
昇華 SHO-KA, transformation as the only creative constant
June 19th, 2024
On June 12th, Polimoda returned to promote its students with the Graduation Show 2024. At the historic Villa Palmieri, the prestigious fashion school presented the collections of the design course students in a show that marked the debut of these creatives in the fashion industry, showcasing their vision of the world and their uniqueness. Titled 昇華 SHO-KA, Japanese for "transformation for the better," the Graduation Show 2024 was inspired by the creative evolution that each student experienced at Polimoda. «It is a universal constant that inspires designers, artists, and thinkers», said designer and Director Massimiliano Giornetti. «It perfectly embodies this creative evolution».
The Graduation Show featured the collections of 18 students with around one hundred looks. For years, the school has hosted aspiring fashion designers, stylists, and creatives from around the world, and at the end of each course, the school team, each year joined by various prominent figures from the industry, selects the most deserving students to present their creations. This year the selection was led by Giornetti along with fashion editor Dan Thawley, and the show was realized in collaboration with the rimless eyewear brand Silhouette. The jury, composed of creative directors, designers, stylists, and entrepreneurs who have made a significant impact in the fashion world, including Stefano Pilati, Gaia Repossi, Giuseppe Angiolini, David Koma, and Marc Goehring, will soon announce the best candidate of the 2024 school year. The show was a unique opportunity to immerse oneself in the wonderful Villa Palmieri, decorated for the event with mirrors and reflective monoliths, but above all, to closely observe the fashion talents of tomorrow.
