Valentino will show live for Milan Fashion Week Women's FW21
The brand returns once again to Milan together with MM6 Maison Margiela, absent instead Versace
February 8th, 2021
The calendar of the next Milan Fashion Week Women's FW21, which will be held from 23 February to 1 March, has finally been presented. This season's edition is the first step towards a return to normality. Firstly because the two closing shows, by Valentino and Dolce & Gabbana, will return to be physical although almost certainly with a very limited public presence and then because, together with Valentino, MM6 Maison Margiela will also arrive in the Milanese calendar, marking the presence of realities outside the traditional Italian ecosystem.
The only big absentee will be Versace, which will show digitally on March 5th for technical reasons, as well as Gucci, which has given its lump sum to fashion weeks in recent months but whose absence is felt; Philipp Plein is also missing from the calendar (an absence for which few will weep), while Sunnei's show is confirmed but awaits an official date to date. In general, this women's edition of fashion week would seem much more lively and populated than the last men's edition, whose calendar (albeit with a few exceptions) paled in front of the much larger line-up of the Parisian edition. With 61 fashion shows, 57 presentations and 6 events, there will in fact be a total of 124 events – although digital in the vast majority.
