Paris Men’s Fashion Week SS20 Moodboard
The inspirations directly from the catwalk
June 25th, 2019
From Cindy Sherman to animation artist Yoichiro Uchida. From Daniel Arsham to David Kramer. From Gerda Tarò to Christo. From Chloe Wise to Matthew Barney. Paris Fashion Week designers have chosen the world of art in all its forms as the main inspiration for their SS20 collections. Between tops and flops, each brand has experimented by combining the key codes of its style with sculptors, photographers, painters and filmmakers, achieving mixed results. As often happens, Kim Jones for Dior, Pierpaolo Piccioli for Valentino and Jun Takahashi for UNDERCOVER stand out for their ability to marry influences and design. Virgil Abloh, on the other hand, with his collection for Louis Vuitton, confirms a very controversial trend, continuing to re-propose ideas already presented by other brands, as he did this time with the creations of Craig Green.
