Yrjo Edelmann reality or fantasy

Influenced by French surrealism with its irrational reasons dream, Yrjö Edelmann has developed and tested a hyper-realism personal pictorial language, before focusing more and more in its packages, wrapping papers and pieces of string that deceive the eye in a striking for their likelihood. 

In his paintings play with shapes, proportions and color properties. His creations defy our senses, capturing the feeling of balance between what really exists and what is only the shadow of a dream.
