Alexan Sarikamichian enchants the viewer with "Bring Me Down"
A romantic, vintage and kitsch clip
February 15th, 2018
We find ourselves inside a den of memories, closed inside a room, of a girl who is still a child, wrapped in a pastel-colored atmosphere, where everything has already happened.
In this way begins the Alexan Sarikamichian's new project, who after a careful analysis of his previous work SENSES, now tells again, but he does not need words to communicate, but only the realization of his ideas.
Bring Me Down once again faces the theme of love, still young but this time lived, felt, on the skin and in the mind. The two protagonists, wrapped in a melancholy halo, fight each other, fight for love and againsta love, because living together is difficult, but separated almost impossible. A feeling that is often confused with sex, with the need to protect the other but also themselves from the other. Alexan Sarikamichian presents games of scenes and lights, often confuses the viewer as if he did not want to make it clear whether it is reality or the simple imagination of the young girl. How much does it really matter? Bring Me Down is a dream, a dream of someone but that can also be ours.
The work is divided into two parts, the first inspired by ͞The Virgin Suicides, the white colors, the pink, the female room, the textures, the flowers, with the intention to show something really vintage, romantic and melancholy, in contrast with other more kitsch frames of the clip, inspired by fashion editorials and sprinkled with glitter.
Curious? Well, here's Bring Me Down, Alexan Sarikamichian's new work.
