Kanye West presents "Facts"
His tribute to 2015 in music
January 4th, 2016
The American rapper celebrates 2016, as he already did with Only one last year, posting a new song on Soundcloud in which he traces, as the title suggests, the events that have characterized the society and his life in this last period.
Produced by Metro Boomin and Southside, the hit is full of self-referential verses: from his adventures in the fashion system with Yeezy ("I ain’t dropped the album, but the shoes went platinum) to Kim Kardashian's emojis ("Just shut down the app store / We made a million a minute"), but also his new album Swish still without a release date, the MTV Video Music Awards, allusions to LeBron James and Bill Cosby ("Do anybody feel bad for Bill Cosby? Did he forget the names just like Steve Harvey? ") and even a polemic against Nike (“If Nike ain’t had Drizzy man they wouldn’t have nothin’!")
It’s not sure whether Facts will be included in the tracklist of Kanye's new album, so for now the only thing we can do is turning up the volume and enjoy this little gift.
