5 tributes to Notorious B.I.G.
Every opportunity to celebrate Biggie is good
November 16th, 2015
Last week Pusha T released Untouchable, a new song that anticipates his upcoming album "King Push". If you haven't listened to it yet, do it now.
The success of this song is probably due to the presence of a very special guest, someone named Notorious B.I.G. You heard right, it's precisely a vocal sample of Biggie from The Pudgee's Think Big.
So, what better time to remember the tributes that friends and musicians payed to the great Christopher Wallance III?
#1 I'll Be Missing You – Puff Daddy feat. Faith Evans and 112. Notorious B.I.G.'s friend and wife Puff Daddy and Faith Evans reinterpreted The Police's Every Breath You Take, creating an emotional, heart-breaking song for the beloved dead rapper.
#2 Juicy and Warning – Notorious B.I.G. Feat. Snoop Dogg and Puff Daddy. During the MTV Video Music Awards of August 28th 2005, Puff Daddy and Snoop Dogg performed on Notorious B.I.G.'s Juicy and Warning, while his image was projected onto big screens. A performance that's hard to forget.
#3 Picasso Biggie – Notorious B.I.G. Feat. Jay-Z. In March 2014, for Christopher Wallace's death anniversary, producer !llmind mashed Jaz-Z's Picasso Baby with some verses from Notorious B.I.G.'s Sky's The Limit.
#4 XO – Beyoncé. In the videoclip, Queen Bey wears a cap printed with the face of Biggie. It's surely a very, very small tribute to the rapper, but his fans didn't miss and appreciated it.
