Kanye West Says Beck Should Have Given His Grammy To Beyoncé
Beck needs to respect artistry
February 9th, 2015
Hey Beck, Imma let you finish...
It's the second act of Kanye West vs the Grammy Awards..
Last night the rapper remade it: took the stage, interrupting the speech of Beck, winner of the best album of the year with his "Morning Phase".
In a moment it seemed to be at the MTV Video Music Awards in 2009 when our Kanye did the same thing to Taylor Swift, crying with a loud voice that Beyoncè had to win.
This time, however, the artist made immediately backed down, sparking laughter of Jay Z and the rest of the audience.
Everyone, including Twitter addicted, in fact, thought it was a joke, an ironic mention of the Swift affaire.
Wrong.
In an interview with E !, during the after show party of the Grammys, West explained: " I just know that, the Grammys, if they want real artists to keep coming back, they need to stop playing with us. We arenít going to play with them no more. And Beck needs to respect artistry, he should have given his award to BeyoncÈ. At this point, we tired of it. What happens is, when you keep on diminishing art, and not respecting the craft, and smacking people in the face after they deliver monumental feats of music, youíre disrespectful to inspiration."
It seems that only the presence of his wife Kim Kardashian and of the baby North West have stop him: " I got my wife, my daughter, and I got my clothing line, so Iím not going to do nothing that would put my daughter at risk, but I am here to fight for creativity".
Kanye ok, everything is fine, but chill out!
