GCDS 1994 Mixtape
Born in 1994
April 30th, 2014
We have lost so many things in 1994. We lost the World Cup that summer in Pasadena. We lost Ayrton Senna, in that damn racer curve. We lost Kurt Cobain, who committed suicide at his home in Washington. But by a strange twist of fate, just when you lose everything, you can start to gain much. We have obtained the definitive consecration of the big beat, with The Prodigy, Fatboy Slim and the Chemical Brothers, we have deflowered our ears with the Techno, hip house. It should also be released in 1994 "Born To Die", the masterpiece of Biggie, the Great Biggie. Also another of the most influential albums in the history of hip hop (and not only) is dated 1994, you should know, is Nas, and it is called Illmatic.
However we have tried to help you relive the 1994 in all its soul- funk essence, that of Soul For Real and Ice Cube (who has since left the NWA), to get to the centrality emblematic of this year in the creation of the new collection GCDS. I was just forget that, in 1994 we had also lost Michael Jordan and his 23, then they thought, either, and came back, magic, as usual.
Additionally also GCDS is back, better than ever ... buy the new release here.
