Da ragazzino Jonny Bubba Smyth ha iniziato a produrre suoni su una drum machine e su una tastiera, cercando di emulare i suoni che sentiva nei club locali.
Sviluppa così l'amore per la musica elettronica, disco e house. A segnare il suo debutto è il rilascio della sua traccia. Scoper & Bubba - I'm Satisfied, sull'etichetta di Derrick Carter e Luca Salomone.

La fine del 2011 vede massicci rilasci su etichette quali, Hot Creations , Pets, Dogmatik, Alive, Batty Bass and Extended Play con il supporto di artisti del calibro di Jamie Jones, Richie Hawtin, Ivan Smagghe, Ewan Pearson, Soul Clap, Lee Foss, Robert James , Trevor Jackson, Hannah Holland, Tom Budden, Droog, Seth Troxler, Catz n Dogz e altri ancora.

A natale 2011 ha ottenuto il sostegno di Radio 1, di Pete Tong e Annie Mac, segnando l'Essential New Tune con Dance with Me su Hot Creations.

Il 2012 è caratterizzato dal lancio della sua etichetta Runnin Wild con Chris James aka Coat of Arms (Culprit / Futureboogie / OFF).

Ha suonato agli MTV EMA di Belfast , insieme con gli Azari & III e Aeroplane, uno dei party più belli che abbia mai visto questa città.

As a kid Jonny Bubba Smyth started bashing out sounds on a drum machine and keyboard in his bedroom trying to emulate the sounds he was hearing down at his local club. Developing a love for electronic music, disco and house he started putting together tracks. Scoring a massive release on Derrick Carter and Luke Solomon's Classic label Scoper & Bubba "I'm Satisfied.

The end of 2011 seen massive releases on labels Hot Creations , Pets, Dogmatik, Alive, Batty Bass and Extended Play with support from the likes of Jamie Jones, Richie Hawtin, Ivan Smagghe, Ewan Pearson, Soul Clap, Lee Foss, Robert James , Trevor Jackson, Hannah Holland, Tom Budden, Droog, Seth Troxler, Catz n Dogz and more.

Christmas 2011 he gained support from Radio 1’s Pete Tong and Annie Mac scoring the Essential New Tune with ‘Dance with Me’ on Hot Creations.

2012 is set to see Bubba release more of his killer Chicago bass influenced productions and remixes and the launch of his own label Runnin’ Wild with Chris James aka Coat of Arms (Culprit / Futureboogie / OFF).

He played at the Belfast MTV EMA’s along side Azari & III, Batty Bass and Aeroplane which was a wildest party the city has ever seen!
