The documentary about Lil Peep
The Italian premiere will take place at SEEYOUSOUND TORINO
February 11th, 2020
The sixth SEEYOUSOUND edition returns to Turin on February 21. The international cinema festival characterized by music-themed works will return for 10 days that bring together innumerable voices, places, and thoughts. With 99 films and video clips including competitions, reviews and special screenings, including 24 Italian premieres, the festival will bring the public to meet new artists and relive legends that have passed away too soon.
One of the most anticipated movies of this edition is definitely the documentary dedicated to the late Lil Peep, entitled Everybody's Everything, produced by Terrence Malick and directed by Sebastian Jones and Ramez Silyan. The film tells the rise and fall of a vulnerable artist always one step away from an emotional meltdown. At just 21 years of age, Lil Peep was able to reach millions of fans through the network with his gloomy and melancholy lyrics, capable of synthesizing punk-emo music and tram at the same time. The two directors Sebastian Jones and Ramez Silyan talk about the rise and fall of Gustav Ahr, the real name of Lil Peep, his vulnerability and the difficulty of expressing himself of a new generation unable to face pain. The documentary is the fond memory of friends, producers, and grandfather and offers a more introspective and human vision of the artist.
The screening of the film, in Italian preview, will be held on Saturday, February 22 at 15.45 at the Cinema Massimo Mnc in Turin. Here you can find the complete programme of the festival.
