Teyana Taylor and Kanye West together...
...for the new album "K.T.S.E"
June 25th, 2018
The highly anticipated K.T.S.E. (Keep That Same Energy) by Teyana Taylor has finally arrived, from Saturday morning available on streaming services.
The album, launched in Los Angeles with a crowded listening party, from Kim Kardashian to Migos, is the fifth of five projects produced by Kanye West released in the last month and follows Pusha-T's Daytona, Ye from West and Kids See Ghosts ft. Kid Cudi and Nasir by Nas.
Other contributors to the disc include Mike Dean, 070 Shake, co-author of WTP and Ratatat's Evan Mast, co-producer of Rose in Harlem.
Just in this song, Taylor combines a sample of Because I Love You Girl by The Stylistics along with elements of a famous 2Pac poem entitled The Rose That Grew From Concrete.
Most of the 8 tracks speak of love and relationships in a very different and more positive light than the singer's first work, which to "Paper" magazine said:
"I definitely changed a lot since the first album. I wasn't married or with a kid, so for this second album to be the complete opposite it's a different level of growth and maturity. My voice has grown so much, my mental has grown so much, so it's going to be dope."
On the occasion of K.T.S.E. Taylor launched, as part of the merchandising, a selection of sweatshirts and sweaters in orange, yellow and white.
