Avicii: Netflix tells his story In a documentary, Avicii, the true story

Avicii died at the age of 28 last April 20th, leaving a big gap between his fans.

A few days after the tragedy, Netflix presents the documentary Avicii, the true story, the story of the rise of the star.

Through the testimonies of the same DJ and the great names of world music with whom he collaborated, from Madonna to Chris Martin of Coldplay, from David Guetta to Wyclef Jean, the pure talent emerges, but also the fragility of the Swedish boy.

The film, made by Levan Tsikurishvili, a friend of the musician, collects four years of filming and, as a Twitter user writes, offers a look at how success can consume a person.

"When I composed Levels I said to myself: 'It's fantastic'. I could not believe. Since then everything has taken off" explains in a sequence the DJ speaking of the song that has consecrated him worldwide; while in another fragment of the documentary he says "Everybody knows Avicii but very few people know Tim (Tim Bergling was the real name of the artist). I think this documentary really shows Tim's struggle and strength of character. Being a worldwide superstar artist is not as easy as it looks on Instagram".

"When I stop, it will be the end for me" revealed Avicii, who had actually left the scene in 2016 due to serious health problems such as depression and alcoholism.

Words that today resonate like a sad omen.
