Ploom, the heated tobacco brand developed by JTI*, returns for the second consecutive year in Milan with a project that pushes the boundaries of the sensory experience even further. Following its debut in 2024 in collaboration with the renowned French designer Ora Ito, Ploom renews its commitment to the world of design with CONNECTED SENSATIONS, an immersive journey that fuses art, technology, and perception into a new experiential narrative embodying the brand’s values: functional design, multisensory exploration, and the pursuit of an aesthetic capable of engaging both emotionally and cognitively. 

The exhibition, open to adult consumers from April 8 to 13, 2025, takes place in the nerve center of the city, at the Torneria Tortona, located at via Tortona 32. The spaces will be accessible every day from 11:00 to 21:00, providing the public with a wide time window to explore the multiple universes that make up the journey conceived by Ploom. The aim is to lead the adult consumer into an environment where every element – from light to sound, from scent to design – becomes a channel to activate the senses, stimulating emotions and fostering new connections.

 

CONNECTED SENSATIONS is divided into four distinct environments, each with a specific identity and narrative function, which we invite you to explore and about which we will share more in the coming days. A key focal point is the Ploom Design House, where the dialogue between the brand and six internationally renowned artists comes to life, selected for their ability to reinterpret the theme of sensoriality through their own style. The aim is to build a shared experience in which design connects diverse cultures, creating a visual and conceptual map of global creativity.

The pulsating heart of CONNECTED SENSATIONS is represented by the artistic collaborations. Six artists from different countries and backgrounds have accepted the challenge launched by Ploom: to reimagine sensoriality in their own personal style to create inspiring designs. The German Valentin Elias Renner proposes a thread-and-nail technique that visually translates the idea of global connections; Arturo Tedeschi, an Italian architect specializing in computational design, explores the boundaries between matter and algorithms. The Malaysian Kenji Chai brings his vibrant and colorful street art, while the Filipino Dex Fernandez incorporates elements of pop culture and urban provocation. Philippos Theodorides, a Greek artist, fuses traditional and contemporary visual languages in an exploration of identity. Tymek, a versatile visual artist and Polish musician, introduces a synesthetic dimension that blends sound and image. Each of these collaborations results in an exclusive front panel, conceived as the aesthetic manifesto of their artistic universe. With CONNECTED SENSATIONS, Ploom confirms its role as an innovative interpreter in the territories of art, culture and emotion. The experience is not just about telling a brand: it invites you to feel, see, listen and connect, in a moment of total immersion.
