While the Tokio model (the famous clogs that took over Pinterest) was created nearly 40 years ago, designed by Karl Birkenstock himself, it returns today stronger than ever, but most importantly, more suited than ever to urban fashion and the needs of the city. The lace-free suede clogs are mounted on the footbed that made Birkenstock famous, a key component developed by the brand to encourage a natural walking style. Unlike the Boston, the Tokio Suede features a heel strap for a more secure fit – a practical feature for those who spend their days standing.
