Speaking about the track, the artist shared that it tells of a desire to break free from a toxic relationship: «The song deals with the frustration and empowerment that arise in the face of a dishonest or manipulative relationship. It’s a situation where you’ve given the other person multiple chances, but the lies and manipulation continue. It’s a song about independence and the refusal to be pulled back into an unhealthy dynamic». With "Stop Calling," the young Australian singer continues to take her energy and storytelling to new levels.
