To discover: The collective exhibition Kongo Esango
On October 25 and 26, at the CINKO space, Kongo Esengo invites you to discover and celebrate the cultures of the two Congos, while supporting a most important cause. Esengo. Joy. It is with this word that the initiative seeks to break the deafening silence surrounding the situation in the East of the DRC. For more than 30 years, conflicts have ravaged the region with almost general indifference, leaving thousands of lives in suspense. However, the richness and complexity of the cultures from the two Congos remain largely unknown. Kongo Esengo, through art and culture, seeks to raise awareness and mobilize the Congolese and Afro-descendant diaspora to denounce these silent oppressions and support Congolese youth. Art here becomes a tool for awareness. The event is open to all and the profits will be donated to the association ESPOIR DE VIVRE, which fights against sickle cell disease, a genetic disease that kills thousands of children every year in the DRC.
