5 things to do in Milan this weekend From October 11th until the 13th

The first decade of October has also passed, with weather that perfectly reflects the "spooky season". As the days get shorter and shorter, the weekend becomes the only glimmer of hope. It also seems like the "ottobrata" has returned, with temperatures reaching 20°C in the coming days after a rather gloomy start to the week. So, if you're unsure how to enjoy the good weather, relax, and have fun, here’s a list of 5 things to do in Milan this weekend.

To Eat - Like Mike

Opened during the last Milan Fashion Week, the second location of Like Mike was launched after the great success of the first restaurant in Miami. A self-described modern trattoria, it combines large pasta dishes with an exclusive cocktail menu. Focusing on Campanian cuisine but never excluding the classics of Milanese tradition, Like Mike's menu is perfect for a meal with friends—whether it's a Sunday lunch or an intimate Friday dinner.

To Chill - Un posto a Milano

Would you prefer an oasis in the middle of the desert or a nearly bucolic landscape in Porta Romana? Let’s say they’re somewhat synonymous. Un posto a Milano is located inside Cascina Cuccagna, an 18th-century farmhouse restored for public use, where, in addition to events, talks, and markets, you can enjoy an aperitif far from the city scene, yet still in the heart of Milan.

Via Privata Cuccagna, 2/4

To Discover - Munch @ Palazzo Reale

Munch, Il Grido Interiore is the exhibition dedicated to the Norwegian artist that brings back Munch after 40 years with a collection of 100 of his works. Opened last September, the exhibition explores Edvard Munch’s projects from 1880 until his death in 1944. For the occasion, Palazzo Reale has collaborated with Cineteca Milano to create a Norwegian film series inspired by Munch at Cinema Arlecchino, running until January 2025.

Piazza Duomo, 12

To Shop - Veins Books pop-up library

Veins Books was born from Nicola Bortoletto's passion for collecting niche books and magazines on rare subcultures, which are almost extinct in today’s cultural climate. From a personal collection to an online shop, this weekend Veins Books will open its first pop-up here in Milan, open from 11 AM to 8 PM, with RSVP here.

To Party - Dr. Martens Day @ Ex Macello

On the occasion of Dr. Martens Day, the iconic British brand decided to collaborate with MI AMI for a mini-festival with an outstanding lineup. From Milan’s cool kids Est Radio Soundsystem to the Italian debut of Parisian artist Tshegue, and an exceptional live performance by Fulminacci, Dr. Martens Day arrives on a perfect weekend where the weather allows for dancing and having fun under the mid-autumn sun.
