The dissing with the highest number of streams this summer will soon become the subject of a highly anticipated documentary. Public Enemies: Kendrick vs Drake will debut on small screens by the end of the year, brought to the public by the prestigious British broadcaster Channel 4. This production represents a deep dive into the lives and careers of two of the most influential rappers of the contemporary scene. The documentary will focus on archival materials and interviews with people who have worked with both artists, exploring not only their careers but also the dissing that put them at odds. Specifically, in the song Not Like Us, Kendrick made heavy accusations against Drake, insinuating that the Canadian rapper was a pedophile and had a hidden daughter, accusations that immediately shook the entire hip-hop scene.

This is not the first time Channel 4 has documented the most famous rap feuds; in fact, back in 2017, they produced Public Enemies: Jay-Z vs Kanye, where they explored what was once considered one of the golden friendships of the hip-hop scene. As stated by Shaminder Nahal, Head of Specialist Factual for Channel 4: «Public Enemies: Kendrick vs Drake is not just a biography, but a cultural exploration of two of the most influential voices in modern music. The documentary delves into the unique journeys of Kendrick and Drake, examining how their origins, talents, and visions have made them global icons.» The creative director of production company Acme Films added that despite only a few years have passed since the last “Public Enemies”, the current beef is unfolding in a rap world where all the rules have changed and it is all happening in real-time.
