5 things to do in Paris this weekend
From August 9th to 11th
August 8th, 2024
While the Olympic Games are in full swing, the city seems unusually calm; however, the week is now coming to an end, and the weekend is on the horizon. The summer festivities and beautiful weather have returned to put an end to our springtime sufferings. It's time to enjoy the mild temperatures and long days by venturing out of your cocoon. More than ever, the streets are buzzing with activities to satisfy all tastes (and tourists). Discover now what the city has in store for you this weekend.
Where to eat: Sit down at Trouble Wine bar
Trouble is a unique wine bar nestled at the bottom of Rue des Martyrs, where gastronomy boldly takes center stage. Under the direction of the talented chef Stefano De Carli, formerly of Passerini, and sommelier Nicolas Phillips, this dandy bistro stands out with its small Italian dishes, expertly laid-back. Here, every dish tells a story, like the Milanese cuttlefish, a true culinary masterpiece, or the “tiramichou” that blends humor and creaminess. As for the wines, Nicolas' meticulous selection promises discoveries with every glass, making Trouble a place to return to, again and again, to savor this gourmet freedom.

To discover: Hangar Y's open-air cinema
Hangar Y, after a year of success since its inauguration, returns with a summer guinguette that promises to enliven the beautiful days at the gates of Paris. This emblematic cultural site of Meudon offers a lush terrace, varied activities, and, for the first time, an open-air cinema. Starting in the afternoons, visitors can enjoy the blooming guinguette, savor a new menu, and let themselves be carried away by DJ sets before settling in for one of the eight scheduled cinema sessions, with films like "Billy Elliott" and "En Corps". This new cultural event is set to be a must for Parisians seeking a bucolic escape this summer.

Where to have fun: Discover Disneyland in a fresh light
Imagine a deserted Disneyland Paris, an el dorado where the queues disappear as if by magic. During the Olympics, while Paris pulsates with the rhythm of the competitions, the park, like the city, empties of its usual crowds, leaving the few visitors to wander between attractions as if in a parallel world. It's the golden hour to ride Space Mountain without a break, stroll through the alleys without the slightest jostle, and enjoy the parade from the best spots with ease. A private Disneyland, where the wait time drops from 45 minutes to 5, and where the ultimate luxury is no longer the fast pass but time itself. Have you really never been there before?
