Where to eat: El Taco Olimpico

Starting today, Petit Keller presents «El Tacos Olimpico,» a temporary taqueria by Emmanuel Peña. You can enjoy delicious tacos, accompanied by Pacifico beer and Clamato cocktails. For wine lovers, a supply from Giclette is planned with a corkage fee. Originally from Monterrey, Mexico, Emmanuel Peña is no stranger to the Parisian culinary scene, known for his former role as chef and manager at El Nopal for 12 years and various residences and pop-ups around the capital. Self-taught, he trained himself with cookbooks and his grandmother's recipes, transforming his passion for Mexican gastronomy into a successful career.

Must-see: The Alaïa/Kuramata Exhibition

The exhibition «Alaïa/Kuramata: La Légèreté en Création,» runs from June 24, 2024, to January 12, 2025, at the Azzedine Alaïa Foundation. Curated by Carla Sozzani and Olivier Saillard, it celebrates the artistic harmony between couturier Azzedine Alaïa and designer Shiro Kuramata. More than twenty pieces of furniture and exceptional objects by Kuramata are presented alongside nearly twenty haute couture creations by Alaïa, illustrating their common quest for lightness and refinement. Kuramata's works, in glass, acrylic, and metal mesh, defy gravity and blend with Alaïa's airy creations. Guided tours, organized in partnership with Des Mots et des Arts, allow you to discover the exhibition, Alaïa's life, and the architecture of the venue. All the exhibited works come from the collections of the Azzedine Alaïa Foundation.

Where to have fun: Belleville Park for the fireworks

July 14th, the French National Day, commemorates the storming of the Bastille and the celebration of the Federation, marking the end of the monarchy and the beginning of the Republic. To admire the fireworks, the heights of Belleville offer an excellent vantage point. Although located at some distance from the Eiffel Tower, Belleville Park, with its 108 meters of altitude, offers a breathtaking panoramic view of Paris. However, be aware that it closes at 9:30 PM, so consider a backup plan to continue enjoying the show, such as the belvedere or simply the higher areas. This year, with the preparations for the Olympic Games, iconic locations like the Trocadéro and the Champ de Mars will be closed to the public. The fireworks display, themed «Liberty,» will be launched at 11 PM from the Trocadéro gardens and the Eiffel Tower, perpetuating a tradition established since 1880.

This summer, the «Souvenirs Vintage» pop-up is making a grand return to Lieu Idéal, just a stone's throw from the Canal Saint-Martin. From July 10 to August 11, discover a wide range of vintage items and unique pieces. Where to party: At the *Bisous La France* party of Hasard Ludique

To celebrate July 14th, Hasard Ludique is once again hosting a colorful National Day celebration. This large queer, free, and open to all fair will take place from 12 PM to 10 PM in the former Petite Ceinture station. On the agenda: an afternoon animated with DJ sets from the disco/house collective Club Humide, led by Les Disques du Lobby and Ixpé.
