New Starbucks blends inspired by Milanese coffee culture
To celebrate them, an exclusive event in the company of Black Coffee
July 4th, 2024
At the Starbucks Reserve™ Roastery Milan, Starbucks presented on May 21 the new limited editions inspired by Milanese culture of coffee, art, and design. Starbucks® Milano Sole and Starbucks® Milano Luna come from the same blend but are presented in two bold and contrasting ways: a light roast, Sole, and a dark roast, Luna, highlighting the duality between tradition and innovation. During the day, the Milanese artists Orticanoodles created murals inspired by the contrast and complementarity between Sole and Luna. The project, centered on the contrast between light and shadow, day and night, and between everyday life and the exclusive, evocative nightlife, underscores the connection between Starbucks and the world of culture and creativity in a broad sense.
For Starbucks, coffee has always been a lens through which to view the world, blending the line between tradition and innovation. Coffee and culture are closely connected, finding expression in projects that involve the arts, culture, and the craftsmanship of coffee itself. On the day of the launch, in addition to offering an immersive 3D space and a special set by Grammy-winning DJ Black Coffee, the Roastery in Milan was transformed into a unique stage. Thanks to the murals by the Milanese artist collective Orticanoodles, guests inside the Roastery experienced an immersive room – a dynamic digital installation exploring the world of roasting and the art of coffee – and a Digital Booth for creating exclusive content for social channels. «This moment with Starbucks was an unmissable opportunity for me - commented Black Coffee - It’s a brand I’ve always had great respect and admiration for, and coffee + coffee just makes sense! I hope this first collaboration in Milan is just the beginning of a long and limitless relationship! It was an honor to perform and meet some members of the team!»
