It is here, in this small room with white stone walls and wooden decor located in the heart of Paris's 10th arrondissement in Strasbourg Saint-Denis, that the new creative scene of the French capital has been gathering for over a year. More than just a wine bar, Chop Chop Love is a multicultural hub for young talents in fashion, art, design, and culture in general, a space to build new connections and have a good time with a good glass of wine in hand and delicious dishes on the menu. «Love, sharing, and energy,» summarise Ismaël Jmili, Julien Pham, and Ramy Ndione, the owners trio already running La Chope des Artistes, hence the name of their new bar. As soon as you step through the door at Chop Chop Love, they warmly welcome you to settle in on one of the emerald green high tables or one of the bistro-style chairs facing the bar. Behind the stoves, a team of chefs in short residencies bring to life a generous and gourmet cuisine following the changing seasons.
« The idea is to recreate our moms' dishes while seeking different flavours from all over the world », the team shares. Over time, the menu has featured a variety of dishes such as a tajine kefta bun and zaalouk with toasted Jura comté, chicken broth soup with vegetables and rice, or homemade fresh pasta with Bolognese sauce accompanied by sheep's tomme. On the drinks side, natural wine is in full swing here, thanks to a carefully curated cellar by French and international winemakers such as Patrick & Justine Boujou, Babass & Agnès, Vincent Marie and l’Arbre Blanc in Auvergne, Les Valseuses in Jura, and Partida Creus, Émilie Mutombo & Clos Lentiscus in Catalonia. Above all, it's the energy that makes the difference at Chop Chop Love, where a strong sense of community blends with the typically vibrant atmosphere of a Parisian vernissage. « The vibe is everything for a venue », tell us the founders. And here, people come precisely « to enjoy it together ».
