How Primavera Sound 2024 went

The 22nd edition of the Primavera Sound Festival has concluded, the musical event that started in 2001 and is held annually in Barcelona. Once again, it has demonstrated its authority in the global music scene with a line-up rich in artists. The event brought together 268,000 attendees, with 3,000 accredited professionals from over 50 different countries. The heart of the Primavera Sound Festival was the Parc del Fòrum, but even the Boiler Room stage, set up in collaboration with CUPRA, knew how to enliven the evenings.

These numbers show how both the public and the industry appreciated the unmistakable offering of Primavera Sound Barcelona, which is based on a perfectly balanced line-up in terms of musical genres and gender equality. The Vampire Weekend chose Primavera Sound for their only concert of the season, while SZA performed for the first time in Spain at Primavera Sound. Charli XCX, on the other hand, debuted her new album a week before its release, after giving an unexpected concert at noon in the Plaça del Mar in Barceloneta. The performance by Thomas Mars of Phoenix on the opening day will not be easily forgotten, as he praised his connection with the festival: «Primavera Sound Festival is our favorite festival. The people who work here are like family to us». In short, the eyes of the musical universe were well focused on Barcelona during an entire week of performances (a total of 263).
